Who this policy covers
This policy applies to findrecording.com and describes how we handle information for visitors, people with public profiles, and businesses with listings.
FindRecording is a discovery and connection platform. We do not process payments, run bookings or hold financial account details.
Information you give us
We only hold information the application actually collects:
- Account details: the email address you sign up with, and an optional display name, avatar and phone number you add to your account.
- Public profile details: the name, headline, biography, city and state, profile types, skills, topics, languages, genres, specialties, experience, credentials, rates, availability notes, website, portfolio and social links you choose to publish.
- Listings: the studio, service, equipment and location details you publish, including descriptions, locations, public contact details and rates you choose to show.
- Requests and responses: the titles, descriptions, categories, locations, timing, compensation notes and requirements you post, plus the responses you send to other people's requests.
- Messages: the conversations, message text and any files you attach when contacting another user.
- Media: photos and other media you upload for a profile or listing.
- Favourites and saved searches: the items you save and the search criteria you store.
- Verification and claim submissions: the evidence and contact details you send when claiming or asking to verify a listing.
- Reports: the reason and details you provide when reporting a profile, listing, review or conversation.
Information collected automatically
We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell personal information.
- Basic usage events such as page paths and listing views, used for the view and enquiry counts shown to listing owners and for our own understanding of how the site is used.
- Standard technical information your browser sends with each request, and the session information needed to keep you signed in.
What is public and what is private
- Public: published profiles, published listings, published requests, and published reviews. Anything you publish can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines.
- Private: your account email, unpublished drafts, messages and attachments, favourites, saved searches, reports, claim evidence, and the analytics shown only to you as a listing owner.
- Only publish contact details you are comfortable showing publicly.
How we use information
- To operate accounts, profiles, listings, requests, messaging and search.
- To show listing owners their own view and enquiry counts.
- To review claims, verification requests, reports and reviews before anything is published or marked verified.
- To protect the platform against spam, fraud, impersonation and abuse.
Service providers
Our hosting and database infrastructure stores the information described above on our behalf. Those providers process data only to run the service. We do not share your information with advertisers.
Retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. Messages and moderation records are kept as long as needed to run and protect the platform. You can unpublish or delete content you control at any time, and you can ask us to close your account.
Your choices
- Edit, unpublish or delete your profile and listings from your dashboard.
- Close a request or remove a response at any time.
- Remove favourites and saved searches from your saved page.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing findrecording@gmail.com.
Children
FindRecording is not intended for people under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
